We appreciate your interest in the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell at Mather Hospital Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program. As a resident, you will become an essential member of our radiology team, playing a key role in diagnosing and treating a diverse patient population. At Mather Hospital, our Radiology Department is deeply committed to both excellence in patient care and comprehensive resident education.

With continuous advancements in radiology, the need for well-rounded, highly trained radiologists has never been greater. Our program is structured to provide an extensive clinical and academic foundation across all subspecialties of Diagnostic Radiology, including conventional radiography, nuclear medicine, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, and interventional radiology. We also offer a dedicated Integrated Interventional Radiology program and the opportunity for early specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR). Additionally, residents who choose to complete their Transitional Year (TY) at Mather can link their TY ranking with our Radiology program, allowing for a seamless transition without the need to relocate.

Throughout residency, you will also have the opportunity to engage in a wide array of clinical and research activities. One of the most exciting aspects of our program is our commitment to innovation. Northwell Health has been at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into medical imaging, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, and patient outcomes. As a resident, you will have the opportunity to engage with AI-driven imaging tools, gaining firsthand experience with technologies that are shaping the future of radiology.

As the new Program Director, I am thrilled to be leading this residency program and working alongside such a talented and dedicated group of faculty and residents. My goal is to foster a supportive and enriching learning environment where you will grow not only as a radiologist but also as a compassionate physician and lifelong learner.

At Mather Hospital, we emphasize a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, driven by faculty who are deeply committed to mentoring and educating future radiologists. We recognize that behind every scan is a patient whose well-being depends on our expertise and compassion, a responsibility we take seriously in all aspects of our training. Through a blend of structured learning, hands-on clinical experience, and self-directed study, our program ensures residents achieve key milestones while fostering a lifelong commitment to learning and teaching. As you progress throughout your residency, you will embody our core values—People, Service, Quality & Safety, and Innovation & Growth—becoming part of a supportive and dynamic medical community.

Thank you again for your interest in our program. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for more information—we look forward to hearing from you!
