Marisa A. Bisiani, DNP, RN, ANP-BC, has been named Director of Infection Prevention and Employee Health Services at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, President Kenneth Roberts announced.
In her new role, Bisiani will oversee the implementation of best practices to prevent transmission of infections in the Hospital. She also will provide occupational health guidance to employees and volunteers with a focus on primary prevention, population health and infection prevention. Bisiani brings many years of nursing leadership to her new role.
Prior to joining Mather, Bisiani was Director of the Department of Care Management and Allied Health Professionals at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in Patchogue. Earlier, she was Director of Employee Health and Wellness Department at Brookhaven. Prior to management, she was an Adult Nurse Practitioner at Internal Medicine Associates in Smithtown, a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Phoenix.
She received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and a Master of Science/Adult Nurse Practitioner degree from Stony Brook University. Her professional memberships include the Case Management Society of America, American Case Management Association, Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Bisiani lives in Miller Place with her husband, Scott, and three children.
