Port Jefferson is a historical harbor village on the North Shore of Long Island. Originally a whaling port and shipbuilding community, the village is now largely known for its arts and cultural events held year round. Transportation
The Long Island Railroad is located just a 10 minute walk from Mather Hospital and provides convenient access to New York City and the East End, with many stops in between, including Citifield for the New York Mets and the Barclay Center in Brooklyn.
