Comprehensive wound management at the Wound Treatment Center at Mather Hospital is a physician-driven, multidisciplinary program. A specially trained wound care physician or nurse practitioner works with you to develop your individual treatment program, tailored to your specific healthcare needs, which may include one or more of the following treatment options:
- Topical wound care
- Debridement
- Biologic and biosynthetic dressings
- Local and systemic antimicrobial therapy
- Negative pressure therapy
- Compression therapy
- Offloading
- Bio-engineered skin substitutes
- Referrals available for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
- Referrals available for Lymphedema Therapy
The Wound Treatment Center staff will also address nutritional and rehabilitation concerns, as appropriate. We will work with you on your scheduling and educational support because keeping your appointments and following wound care instructions are essential to healing your wound.
