Welcome to Nursing at Mather Hospital
The culture at Mather is built on tradition, history and nursing excellence. The nurse’s voice is heard at the unit level through practice, quality, technology, research and professional development councils. Our Departmental vision is to support, develop and mentor nursing leadership to empower all to partner in the delivery of patient and family centered care. This culture was key to Mather earning the prestigious Magnet® recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in June 2013 for our quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice. We received our third Magnet® designation in 2022.
The active involvement and collaboration of all nursing staff is an important investment in the advancement of nursing care here at Mather. The nurses’ voice is heard at the unit level through practice, quality and research, professional development, and technology councils.
